Garfield Veterans Inducted Into Hall of Heroes

The GAF Board continues its goal to induct into Garfield’s Hall of Heroes all veterans that have attended Garfield High School, including those that have passed on. Graduation from Garfield is not required. You’ll note that we have posted photos of several of our Hall of Heroes veterans.

By November of 2020, 130 veterans had been inducted. Each veteran or their next of kin received, via mail, a commendation from Los Angeles County Supervisor, the Honorable Hilda L. Solis. Also, the veterans received a unique GAF Veterans Hall of Heroes Pin and a GAF “Welcome Home” letter. We look forward to when we can recognize our veterans at our events.

We will continue periodically to recognize our veterans. The next recognition for new inductees will be in April, 2021.
